About Me
“Hello and welcome.
I am Callum Moore, a fully qualified Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist offering psychotherapy for children, adolescents and young adults up to the age of 25.
Alongside my private practice, I work as a Senior Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist within the NHS.
I understand that approaching a therapist can feel like a significant step. A child or young person may not know how to explain what is wrong, while parents may feel uncertain about what kind of help is needed.
I aim to offer a thoughtful, reliable and non-judgemental space in which difficult experiences can be approached safely and at a manageable pace.”

Professional Background
I have many years of experience working within NHS mental-health services and have held a range of clinical and senior positions within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services.
My experience includes work with complex emotional distress, trauma, eating disorders, risk, safeguarding, physical-health difficulties and the wider pressures that can affect children, families and the professional networks supporting them.
I am also a qualified and experienced Solution-Focused Brief Therapist.
Professional Registration and Training
I am a fully qualified Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist and a Member of the Association of Child Psychotherapists.
The Association of Child Psychotherapists is the professional body and accredited register for psychoanalytic Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists in the UK. It sets standards for professional training, practice, ethics and continuing professional development. The ACP register is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Training to become a Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist takes a minimum of six years. My training included two years of pre-clinical study followed by four years of full-time specialist clinical training within NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services.
The training is equivalent to doctoral-level clinical training and combines extensive supervised clinical practice with academic study, clinical supervision and personal psychoanalysis.
