Terms & Conditions

Attendance

Appointments should be attended consistently and on time. Regular attendance is important for developing and maintaining a reliable therapeutic relationship.

Where children are accompanied to appointments, the accompanying adult remains responsible for them before and after the session.

Children must not be left unattended in the waiting area and should be collected promptly at the end of the appointment.

Missed and Cancelled Sessions

Appointments are reserved specifically for each child, young person or family.

Missed or cancelled sessions will therefore be charged at the usual rate, unless there are exceptional circumstances.

Exceptional circumstances can be discussed individually. Sessions cancelled by me will not be charged.

Therapy Breaks

Individual psychotherapy will usually follow an agreed annual pattern, with planned breaks during school holidays.

Arrangements for the longer summer break will be discussed in advance. The pattern may differ for assessments, parent consultations and brief interventions.

Fees and Invoices

Fees will be agreed before appointments begin.

Invoices should be paid within 15 days of issue unless another arrangement has been agreed in advance.

Any planned changes to fees will be communicated with reasonable notice.

Therapy Agreement

Before regular work begins, you will receive a therapy agreement setting out the arrangements for sessions, fees, cancellations, confidentiality, communication, reviews, holidays and endings.
